Mangalore, Dec 11: The closing ceremony of a 10-day National Cadet Corps (NCC) camp for high school and primary school students, was held at the Polytechnic Auditorium on Wednesday December 10.
Speaking on the occasion, Lt Col Suresh Kumar, camp commandant, said that the camp o introduced a lifestyle to the cadres along with hard training. ‘Cadets should maintain the discipline throughout life’, he said. As many as 460 cadets of 18 Karnataka and 5 Naval camped here from Tuesday December 2.
Jayanth Shetty, deputy superintendent of police, presented prizes to winners of the various competitions held during the camp. Cadets shared their experiences in the camp.
Deputy commandant Radhakrishnan, chief officer Devadas Kini, and battalion leader Subedar Major Pradeep Thapa, were present on the occasion.
