Lenovo debuts its security solutions for enterprises in India

New Delhi, Dec 4 (IANS): Computer manufacturing giant Lenovo on Tuesday launched "ThinkShield" security solutions which is its end-to-end approach to securing business devices, data, online presence and identity throughout their life cycle and is targeted at enterprises and small and medium businesses (SMBs).

"ThinkShield" security solution is available on the company's line-up of ThinkPads, ThinkCentres and ThinkStations that were launched in April and secures devices through their entire product lifecycle.

Unlike other solutions which are subscription-based, this model is based on understanding specific security needs of users and developing tailored solutions for them, the company said in a statement.

"With more than 75 per cent organisations experiencing phishing attacks in today's hyper connected world, we are dedicated to securing employee device lifecycle, data, identity and their online presence. We are improving ThinkShield via our in-house R&D innovation and deeper partnerships to foster innovations that are changing businesses today," said Rohit Midha, Director, Commercial Named Accounts, Lenovo India.

Several features of "ThinkShield" are present on various ThinkPad devices.

From physical endpoint protection to a trusted suppler programme and supply chain management, "ThinkShield" covers features that are integrated at the deepest level to ensure the highest level of security for enterprises, the company said.

Lenovo WiFi Security, in collaboration with Coronet, detects threats and notifies users when they are about to connect to unsafe wireless networks.
