Bengaluru, Nov 28: The state high court, on Tuesday November 27, directed Central Crime Branch policemen not to proceed further against former minister, Gali Janardhan Reddy, relating to his reported deal with Ambidant company promoters.

Gali Janardhan Reddy and his close aide, Ali Khan, had approached high court seeking to quash the first information report filed against them by the City Crime Branch police.

Presiding officer of the single judge bench, Justice P S Dinesh Kumar, which heard the petition, passed this order. It also asked the police not to take any action against Ali Khan from November 29 to December 4.

Advocate for the petitioners told the bench that both Janardhan Reddy and Ali Khan have no connection with the case and that the petitioners had not directly participated in the irregularities as claimed.

    Our higher courts have a strange habit of quashing FIRs & stopping investigations in many scams whether related to Yeddy or Reddys.
    Yes, the argument was perfect, no connection in the Ambident Scam, but highly suspicious acts by the person who is involved in the scam with Reddy & ED official to cover up that case, that part needs to be investigated to cleanse our corrupt system of powerful & wealthy people getting away with crimes.
    The police here took hasty decision in taking action & not collecting enough evidence before taking into custody of the accused persons. But change of guard at CCB the criminals can't expect any relief once they come up with clinching evidence of corrupt dealings.
