Udupi Nov 25: Prior to Christmas celebrations, the dry fruit mixing ceremony for Christmas cake was held at Bake Studio, a unit of Kemmale Food and Beverage (KFB) here on Monday, November 26.
Cashew nuts, walnut, raisins and other dry fruits were mixed with wine. Guests and audience present also joined their hands in mixing the dry fruits. Dry fruits were beautifully designed in the shape of Santa Claus. This ceremony is held every year here at Bake Studio.
This mix will be kept for 21 days after which it will be used to prepare cakes. Use of wine gives a good aroma to the cake. It will be very soft in its final outcome and will also last for a long time.
Rev Akshay Amanna, priest of Christha Jyothi Church blessed the event and said, “Christmas feast is the gift of God and throughout the world this feast will be celebrated. The symbol of star indicates light. The star gave the message to entire world about the birth of Jesus Christ. Each one of us decorate our homes with stars at home and celebrate the birth of Jesus. Sharing sweets with neighbours and relatives makes the feast more meaningful.”
RJ Errol said, “To prepare a cake, so many ingredients are required which are different in colour. Similarly, in the society, if we join together, all feasts will become more meaningful.”
Mervin Shirva, artiste from Prashamsa Troup Kaup, expressed his excitement over cake mixing said, “I am attending such programme for the very first time. Today, cake means Bake Studio. This is because of the quality of products they offer to their customers.”
Speaking on the occasion, Harish Kini said that from baking industries, they are venturing into other fields as well.
