Mangaluru, Nov 25: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad held a mega convention at Nehru Maidan on November 25, urging union government to pass a suitable law to ensure construction of a Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
Udupi Pejawar Mutt Sri Vishweshwa Theertha swamiji said, "I congratulate all the Ram bhakths and people who gathered in large number for this convention. This is the important phase and we should utilize it for the utmost level. Ram Mandir is a concern for all including the seers and everyone wants a Ram Mandir at Ayodhya. The time has come and there is no compromise for the construction of Ram Mandir and we will fight for it. I am sure that in the year 2019 the process for the construction of Ram Mandir will begin.
He also said, "Construction of Ram Mandir is useful for the government and there is no harm. Muslims are changing their minds. Congress has no courage to oppose it and even if they do, they might face the consequences in elections. BJP MLAs and ministers should be ready to resign for the sake of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya. Prime Minister Narendra Modi should take right decision on the basis of people's opinion; at any cost Ram Mandir will be constructed at Ayodhya.”
National Bajrang Dal convenor Sohan Singh Solanki said, "Everyone questioned us asking the need of this campaign. I want to tell the people who support Babri Masjid. Look at the people gathered here in Mangaluru for this convention. They have come for the demand for the construction of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya. Such campaign is being conducted across the country. The decision regarding Ayodhya should not be taken in the Supreme court, as I want to say that this country belongs to Lord Ram as we say his name when we meet, while having lunch, dinner and even during the last rites.
“I want to ask those who support Babar, why did he destroyed temples across the country? What is the relation of Muslims with Babar that you are supporting him so much?
“Even actors who enjoy and earn here say that this country is not safe for them. They should be ashamed to say that. There was a time when someone slap one cheek, we would offer the other too. But times has changed now. If we are slapped, we will cut off the same hand and give it back to them.
“Hindus will not tease anyone, but if anyone teases Hindus, we will not spare them. It is unfortunate that Karnataka government is celebrating Tipu Jayanti. Who is Tipu? A crook and a murderer. We have been taught that Akbar and Aurangazeb are great personalities. But for us Chatrapathi Shivaji, Guru Govind and Maha Rana Pratap are great personalities.
“Some say Hindus are terrorists. If Hindus become terrorists, only Hindus will exist in this whole world. Babar mentality people are alive in this country which need to be eradicated.
“The Supreme Court can pass decision in every issue, be Sabarimala, cracker bursting and many more. Then why discrimination in the case of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya? The Supreme Court not giving decision was a huge insult to Hindus in the country.
“Some say ‘Acche Din’ starts only when get Rs 15 lac, development, and employment. But ‘Acche Din’ will come only after the construction of Ram Mandir,” he said.
