Bengaluru: Mobile phones banned in pre-university colleges

Bengaluru, Nov 25: The pre-university education department has revised the circular of allowing the students to take laptops and mobile phones inside the classrooms and has banned the mobile phones being taken inside the classroom.

Now students can take only laptop computer inside the classroom.

A revised order is sent by the education department in this regard, which says that the use of mobile phones during the college hours is completely banned keeping in mind the wellbeing of the students.

The order also says that this rule has to be compulsorily followed by government, private and aided pre-university colleges of the state.

    It sounds like a good step. Mobile phones are a great nuisance.

    But, if the laptops are allowed, I wonder what will stop the students from continuing with the nuisance.

    Right decision.... Firstly why the children should be provided with mobile or allowed to carry mobile to college, they are students going to grasp education what business they have to do in cellphone.... Mobiles should be provided after their studies or when emergency necessity arises... Once u complete studied earn and buy mobile thats the good spirit

    I think this is an absurd step. It is in this age, youngsters want to explore the world. Depriving them of these tiny pleasures and happiness will prompt them to explore illegal ways, which ultimately end up in affecting their studies.

    MOBILE BAN IS IN THE COLLEGE NOT FOR ENTIRE LIFE.....
    THERE IS NO COLLEGE WHICH RUNS 24 HOURS....THEY CAN CHECK ONCE THEY COME HOME....
