Mangaluru Nov 24: Deputy CM Parameshwar took a dig at the BJP, questioning where is Ram Mandir.
Speaking to the media after he arrived at Mangaluru International Airport on Saturday, November 24, he said, “You have contested many elections using the Ram Mandir issue as well as collected money and bricks. But still there is no Ram Mandir.”
He alleged that BJP uses the Ram Mandir issue to gain political mileage. “People are aware of this and will give them an answer in 2019 general elections,” he said.
When asked about BJP’s allegation that government is tapping their phone calls, Parameshwar said, “BJP continues to criticize our government and they will keep doing it. Do not believe in their criticisms. Even people will not believe them.”
When asked about Sathish Jarkiholi statement of government yet to take off, Parameshwar said, “I have seen his statement in the media and am unaware on what context he said that statement. I will have a talk with him.”
When asked about the Mandya tragedy, Parameshwar said,” It’s unfortunate that 28 people have drowned when a private bus plunged into a canal in Mandya. After the accident, the driver has fled from the spot and this will be investigated. Decision will be taken with regard to providing compensation.”
“Deadline has not been given over implementation of Auradkar committee report and we will implement the committee, as per the report. Justice will be provided and will hold discussions regarding this.”
