Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Nov 23: After two motor bikes collided with each other at Kulur on the night of Thursday November 22, two riders seated on one of the motor bikes fell into the river along with their vehicle and lost their lives.

The deceased have been identified as Nikhil (21) from Akash Bhavan here, and Vijesh (22), a resident of Bangra Kulur in the city.

Four young men seated on two motor bikes were moving towards a resort located on the banks of Kulur River. Because of high speed of the two vehicles, the riders lost control and the two vehicles hit each other. The motor bike on which Nikhil and Vijesh were seated fell into the river along with their motor bike, and drowned.

Immediately after the accident, an attempt was made to rescue the youngsters from the river with the help of locals. But pitch dark conditions turned the effort futile. The level of water in the river was also high, and the motor bike had reached the depths of the river.

Senior police officers later visited the spot, inspected the area, and guided the police.

Leave alone God, even the devil approaches and advises them, they do not and will not listen and not to anybody. These types youngsters are beyond redemption. Leave them alone. Lesser you talk and give advise to them better it is. I do not feel any regret for these type of youngsters who are killers of themselves and others on road. Do not waste your precious time on advising these youngsters. Jai Hind

My dear fellow youngsters my request please don't purchase any bike without dual channel ABS. Your life matters a lot. Also ride sensibly and dont cross speed limit on our roads as cows, goats, dogs, cats, buffaloes, school kids and aged people suddenly appear from nowhere. Under such panic breaking the wheels lock resulting in skidding. Disc brakes and fat tyres don't help at all. Those breaks lack bite and those tyres lack grip on oil, mud or wet roads. Cut your speed not someone's life. Traffic police and highway patrol must be alert and fine those who overspeed.

Sad news to begin day. I don't say RIP, just because death is due to negligence. Death in 2 wheel is almost common and people dying are mostly below 30. This says something. I have seen 2 wheelers driving style in Mangalore, they doesn't care for anyone on road. They drive hard and take turn whenever they feel to take without considering other people on road. A slight gap in traffic congestion is a way for them to insert their vehicle, no patience to wait on front vehicle. Most people intention to buy 2 wheel is to reach their destination fast rather than safe. Change your mindset 2 wheelers, and live long to enjoy your 2 wheel drive . Banks need to cut down their attitude so as no easy loan is available for vehicle purchase. Just remember my 2 wheel drivers, if you come under larger vehicle then you will loose your life not the larger vehicle people. If a big vehicle driver put you under causing your death then he will get maximum 5 years jail but with bail.
