Puttur: Six-year-old dies after falling in boiling water kept to clean chicken

Puttur, Nov 20: A six-year-old who accidentally fell in a bucket of boiling water on Sunday, died after failing to respond to treatment on Monday evening.

Tanvi, daughter of Ramesh and Bhavya, residing at Kemminje Bedrala in Puttur fell in a bucket of boiling water, kept in the backyard meant for cleaning chicken feathers.

She suffered severe burns and was rushed to Dhanwantari Hospital in Puttur but passed away on Monday after failing to respond to treatment.


Tanvi

While her parents remain inconsolable, her relatives have alleged negligence on part of the doctors for not taking her condition seriously.

Tanvi was studying in first standard in Sandeepini Primary School in Puttur.

    So sad ,.Useless to say negligence of doctors,more negligence of parents.But now nothing helps blaming anybody.When a small child falls in boiling water,child gets third grad till fourgrad burns and hard to treat.More a lot of time was elapsed till she was taken to doctor.They could have put her immediately in ice water but thats not possible in village.May her soul rest with angels.Hard to console parents now.but they dont have fault in it.many times children run where it is not needed.Heartfelt sympathy to parents.RIP
