Mangaluru, Nov 20: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) will conduct a mega convention at the Nehru Maidan on November 25, to prevail upon the union government to pass a suitable law to ensure construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, informed regional secretary Vishwa Hindu Parishat Sharan Pumpwell.
Addressing media here on Tuesday, November 20, Sharan Pumpwell said, "Prior to the meeting a huge rally will be taken out from Ambedkar (Jyothi) Circle to Nehru Maidan. Close to 50,000 Ram devotees from the district will take part in this meet. Several groups chanting bhajans, and tableau of Lord Ram will be taken out in the procession.
He also said, "Several religious leaders and saints are expected to take part in the meet. National Bajrang Dal convenor Sohan Singh Solanki will address people in the meeting.”
Speaking over the Sabarimala row, district president VHP Jagadish Shenava demanded the suspension of Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan's government in the state and urged the central government to intervene and sort out the issue.
VHP leaders Bujanga Kulal, Praveen Kuthar and Shivanand Mendon were present.
