Holidays should be without pay except for all Sundays. Salary should be for 26 working days in a month. Then people will be more interested in work and not in holidays.

Good suggestion....... Everyone must have right to claim their salary on hourly basis. some people will work 12 hours and some them work only 4 to 5 hours with so many holidays...... Let them work 4 hours or 20 hours a day...... government has to may rule that salary must be paid on hourly basis. If some one wants to sit at home for bundh, or celebrate any occasion, let them enjoy without salary.

When I came to DUBAI, 1970 to 1985 the government use to declare holidays on death of rulers family, i.e. Aunt, Uncle, or close relatives death. Even when Saudi king was killed in 1975, all middle east countries declared more than 1 weeks holiday. When our HH Shaikh Rashid ruler of Dubai died, UAE government has not declared any holiday. i.e. HH Shaikh Rashid told in his last wish not to declare any holidays as people will not come and cry that their beloved king has died. Now even when our president died and UAE government has not declared any holiday. When Anant Kumar died I heard some of the institution were closed. He was a normal person and why Government has to declare holiday on tax payers money?????

Cancel all the holidays except the weekly holiday, i.e., on Sunday. No holidays on 15th August and 26th January too; let's hoist the flag and work even on those days. But increase the number of days of Casual Leave for the employees from the present 15 to, may be, 20 or 25 so that the employees can take Casual Leave to celebrate their respective festivals.

    Holidays should follow some ratio.
hindus are more than 80% , so 80% of the holidays should be reserved for Hindu festivals. One Eid Holiday and One Christmas is sufficient for others!

Good advise...... Don't give this advise to anyone..... than your 80 percent will claim that we got right to do corruption upto 80% of corruption, cheating but others only 10% above that limit if anyone does cheating than No. case.

When will we, the Indians, grow above and beyond religion and silly politics? Should every discussion of ours start with one's religion. How many of the developed countries keep discussing religions. They have grown because they have also grown above religions. We don't grow because we are still discussing religion only. That's why the political parties also do not speak about the issues pertaining to our economic development. They play with our religious sentiments. Guys, let's grow up.

All top religious leaders must sit and decide the Holidays. After wards no dispute. Next on account of death and Bandh no holidays. If PM or President dies only condolences meeting for few minutes. And salaries should be given for working days. Only one holiday a week I.e on Sunday. All other benefits as per union settlement.

I did not see everyone who is having holiday and going to church on christmas holiday. Same way everyone is not going to temple or mosque to pray during eid or diwali holidays...... People got habit of enjoying on tax payers money i.e.. have holidays and get full salary.

we have lot of holidays.... Kannada movement people want holiday as Kannada day..... some reporter asked the leader to pronounce Kannada Ah, ah, e, e and he was not knowing how to pronounce this than he asked some of poets name but he doesn't know their name... but he wants holiday on Kannada Day, Dasara etc..... whose expenses??? he want the holidays to the people to enjoy on tax payers money.....

During these holidays how many people are having hard time????? no one is bothered but they want to enjoy holidays????
Give one day on Eid, One day on christmas and one day on Diwali and balance announce add 10 days to their annual leave and let them take it on any occasions i.e. Kannada day, leaders birthday, newyear, Holi etc.
