Koppal, Nov 16: Reddy community is livid at the repeated statements of BJP leaders that the party does not have anything to do with former minister and mining magnate, Gali Janardhan Reddy. To show their anger, a few from the community have, through posts in social websites, challenged BJP leaders that they would carve out separate state and make Janardhan Reddy their chief minister.
Sharane Gowda from Heroor in Gangavathi taluk in the district has lashed out at the BJP in a facebook post where he has praised Janardhan Reddy. This post has received tremendous support with a large of number people supporting Janardhan Reddy, although there have been a few who have lampooned the creators of these posts.
A number of members of this community have supported the post that Janardhan Reddy would be the next chief minister of separate Karnataka. Several of them have charged BJP of taking help from Janardhan Reddy when the party is in crisis, and severing all inks with him once he is in a soup.
The community, which claims to be having strength of 25 lac in Karnataka, laments the fact that the community done precious little to help Janardhan Reddy when false allegations were levelled against him and attempts were being made to imprison him. They point out that the community did not think twice before approaching Reddy for help to construct a temple dedicated to Hemareddy Mallamma, and that whenever some members of the community face a crisis, the first they do is to approach Janardhan Reddy for help. Sharane Gowda points out that even for the convention of the community held recently at Bengaluru, his help was needed by the community.
