Udupi: Parish Feast of Mother of Sorrows Church Celebrated with Fervour

Udupi, Nov 20: The parish feast of Mother of Sorrows church here was held with devotion and fervour on Wednesday November 19.  Fr Mathew Vas, parish priest, Mother of Sorrows, distributed the festal candles to donors of the Eucharistic celebration at 10.30 am.
 
Fr Baptist Menezes, episcopal vicar, offered the festive Eucharistic Mass along with Fr Marcel Saldanha, parish priest, Kallianpur Milagres, Fr Santosh, assistant parish priest, Mother of Sorrows, and deanery priests.
 


Fr Arun Lobo, assistant parish priest, Holy Cross Church, Cordel, Mangalore, delivered the homily during the holy mass. Parish choir group led by Henry D’Silva presented  hymns in honour of Mother Mary.
 
Fr Baptist Menezes honoured state-level badminton winner Manisha D’Souza, in a stage  programme held later. Fr Vas thanked the donors, parishioners, and all the gathering, including the priests, for the successful celebration of the parish feast.
