Mangaluru, Nov 15: Senior BJP leaders are worried that the sudden death of union minister Ananth Kumar will affect BJP’s influence in the state and are mulling of handing over the portfolio of minister to influential MPs such as Nalin Kumar Kateel or Prahlad Joshi in the state.
It is also said that RSS leaders requested BJP national president Amit Shah during his visit, to make a sincere party leader as the state president. They have suggested not to depend on mass leader like Yeddyurappa but to appoint person who has good rapport with the Sangha.
Amith Shah has reportedly accepted the suggestion in good spirit.
The names of Chikmagaluru MLA C T Ravi and Mangaluru's MP Nalin Kumar Kateel are included in the list handed over by RSS. It is said that changes in the state if any will only be after Lok Sabha elections.
