Mangalore, Nov 19: Out of the four accused who are charged with committing  various highway robberies and a murder, the last acused, named Mayyaddi alias Moidin alias Sadiq(30), was arrested by the Dakshina Kannada District Crime Intelligence Bureau(DCIB) policemen on Tuesday November 18 and handed him over to the Mullky police for further action.

Mayyaddi is a resident of Kammaradi in Koppa taluk of Chikmagalur district. He was arrested by the DCIB policemen headed by police inspector Venkatesh Prasanna from near Bharati Rice Mill in Koppa taluk.

The accused had robbed two truck drivers and a car owner by gaining entry into their vehicles by telling them concocted stories. They had murdered Pravin, a driver from Thirthahalli on November 9 and taken possession of the car he was driving, which belonged to a man from Haleangadi. Pravin had been done to death by beating him up and trying him up to a rock and then drowning him in the  standing water of a stone quarry near MRPL.

Samshuddin Ali alias Altaf Imran alias Imran(20), Ismail Arif alias Mohammed Arif alias Arif (22) from Mukka  and Safwan Hussain alias Rajiq(23, a resident of Haleangadi Koppala House ) were  arrested by the police in this connection,  on November 16.
