Mangaluru, Nov 14: Ullal police solved fifteen cases of vehicle thefts, arrested three accused in this connection and confiscated fifteen vehicles worth Rs 20 lac from them.
The arrested accused are Shahir (23), resident of Manjeshwar, Mohammed Adil (26), resident of Uppala and Abdul Munavar alias Munna (21), resident of Kasargod. The police upon questioning them came to know of fifteen thefts of two wheelers which include four motorcycles from Ullal police station limits; five motorcycles and a scooter in Mangaluru south police station limits; two motorcycles in Mangaluru north police station limits; two motorcycles in Urva police station limits and one motorcycle in Mangaluru east police station limits.
The operation was conducted in the leadership of Ullal police station inspector Gopikrishna K R by station PSI Vinayaka Toragal and Gurappa Kanti, ASI Vijayaraj, Mohan K V, Radhakrishna Valal, Vishwanath Rai and staff Dinesh, Suresh, Jayaprakash, Pravin, Shantappa, Prashanth, Vasudeva, Ranjith, Lingaraj, Chidananda, Akbar and Suresh under directions and guidance from senior police officials.
