Bangkok: Thai Kannada Balaga celebrate Deepavali, Kannada Rajyotsava with grandeur

Bangkok, Nov 14: Thai Kannada Balaga (TKB), an association of Kannadigas living in Thailand, organised and celebrated both the festival of light Deepavali and Kannada Rajyotsava at Lotus Sukumvit Hotel here on November 11.

The grand colourful celebration was inaugurated by guest artiste and famous Kannada ventriloquist Indushree along with Thai Kannada Balaga president Ravi Mysore, secretary Wilson Pinto Shamboor and treasurer Subrahmanya Nilekeri.

Guest artiste Indushree entertained the audience with her breath taking performance of ventriloquy. Her puppets also interacted with the audience in a great comedy session.



The audience was also entertained by TKB kids with their dance performance. Many of the TKB members showed their talents on stage.

The event was well organised by TKB host Suprabha Shetty with funny games and couple games by Vinol D'Souza and Delora Pinto.

Former presidents Habib, Mohandas, Muthu, Sriram and TKB committee members Durga Mouli, Subrahmanya, Harish, and Ravi Bhovi distributed trophies and gifts which were won in sports day competition. Vijeth Hegde who organised the sports day also distributed prizes.

Lucky draw, couple game winners and all the artistes who performed at the event were felicitated with mementos and gifts by organisers and key members of TKB.

All the members of TKB enjoyed the programme, music, dance and celebrated Deepavali and Kannada Rajyotsava with spirit of togetherness.

The event turned out to be a grand success with pocket-full of entertainment and tasty Indian food. Secretary Wilson Pinto Shamboor rendered the vote of thanks.
