Bengaluru, Nov 10: In an incident which happened in the city sometime back, a female software engineer, who questioned a man who had recklessly parked his car in the middle of the road and caused traffic jam, was slapped in the cheeks by the offender, who also tore her clothes.

Although this incident happened on October 5 in the presence of traffic policemen, the incident came into the open only now. The man who showed this uncivilised, rude behaviour, was Manjunath (29), son of a senior officer in the department of fire and emergency services. His friend, Madhu (31), was also his partner in this crime. The lady techie is 25.

Manjunath had parked his Maruti Zen car in the middle of the road at Kaikondrahalli within Bellandur police station limits. After the woman questioned him, both Manjunath and Madhu together assaulted the woman and tore off her clothes. After the woman filed complaint in Bellandur police station, the police registered a case of sexual harassment and arrested both Manjunath and Madhu.

If The -son of a senior officer in the department of fire and emergency services has so much power.......what about higher portfolio holders siblings?????? I find fault at police officers for taking sides!!!! An air tight case would have brought down the pride like son of Harris!!!

    Rita,

This is because some men think ladies are "use and throw" objects.. It's really appreciable many have spoken very good towards that lady techie. But there are few who always degrade the ladies forgetting woman is the source of their existence in this world and they have not commented today in this column.
It's really sad and painful situation of lady techie whose clothes are torn in public. Blows can be tolerated but not such acts.
May god punish those hands and let them never be useful even to clean themselves in the morning. Curse on these men, shameless.

In Criminology, it says, the first person who hints about a probable suspect to the police is the most probable suspect himself.

The problem is not only with the boy who is uncivilised and a wretched animal not fit to be a human being the problem of his upbringing lies with his parents and parenting who have inculcated such wretched over the years from ancestors. Britishers who have left this country have changed but our own Indians have not changed but become like untamed animals.
