Mangalore, Nov 11: After the policemen of the Delhi and Mumbai police teams, it is the turn of the policemen from Uttar Pradesh to conduct investigations pertaining to the terrorist connections, in the city. A team of policemen from that state arrived in the city secretly on Monday November 10 and visited various places, collecting information.
The Central Reserve Police Force intelligence team led by senior police officers has taken two people from the city into its custody for interrogation, sources revealed. The investigation relates to bomb blasts that occured at various places including Bangalore, Ahmedabad and New Delhi. The team is said to have come here, on the basis of clues given by a few people arrested in Uttar Pradesh. This has strengthened the belief that the terrorist network is active in the coastal belt. The recent investigations had revealed that crude bombs were made and supplied from the coast.
The UP team is camping in the city, and is expected to conduct further investigations with the cooperation of the district police on Tuesday November 11.
