Mangalore, Nov 11: The book release programme of 'Sneha Sinchana', a collection of stories, was organized by the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) Kannada Action Committee here recently.
Speaking on the occasion after releasing Shankar Manjeshwar's 'Sneha Sinchana,' president of the district Kannada Sahitya Parishat Pradip Kumar Kalkura said, that the author is proof to the fact that Kannada still has a strong presence in parts of Kasargod district.
Apart from kindling interest and eagerness among the readers, stories need also to be backed by refinement. The young authors should give importance to the proper and just use of the language, while retaining the qualities of entertainment, advised senior litterateur Amruth Someshwar, speaking on the occasion in the capacity of guest.
President of KSRTC Kannada Action Committee V C Chinnegowda presided over the function. The event organizer Harish Golla welcomed the gathering. M M Prabhu compered the programme.
