Bengaluru, Oct 20: #Metoo has been sweeping away several high profile personalities in India like a whirlwind. It has been acquiring new dimensions with each passing day. The new high profile personality who has got stuck in this wave happens to be union minister and former Karnataka chief minister (CM), D V Sadananda Gowda.
Madhuri Mudhol, who was a member of the Mahila Morcha in the past, has accused Gowda of behaving with her in an inappropriate manner when Gowda was the CM of Karnataka. She said that Gowda used to repeatedly call her, inviting her to meet him at his office, and also have lunch with him. She also alleged that the then CM used to touch her body parts and tried to have physical contact with her in various ways.
Reacting to the allegation, Sadananda Gowda said he remembers that Madhuri used to be a functionary of Mahila Morcha, but added that he was not the CM during that period. "I was the state president of BJP then. Everyone knows how I am and what I am. I do not want to say anything about this to anyone right now," he stated.
As soon as the allegation made her was lapped up by the media which began to carry the story, Madhuri deleted her post.
