Mangalore, Nov 8: The All College Students’ Union (ACSU) on Saturday November 8, urged the state government to withdraw the decision to nationalize bus routes in Dakshina Kannada district.
Speaking to media persons, Sathyajith Rai, president, ACSU, said this decision would affect the students. "We cannot anticipate good service from government buses and we are already experiencing this on other routes. We will give a call for college bundh in protest of nationalization of bus routes," said Rai.
The government’s decision will result in unemployment. Many conductors, drivers, and other bus employees, will lose their jobs, he said. Rai added that the state government should realize the impact of nationalization of bus routes in the district and should withdraw its decision.
