Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Oct 17: A social activist, Bheemappa Gadad, had written to the chief secretary of the government, seeking expulsion of minister, Ramesh Jarkiholi. He said that Jarkiholi has been insulting the constitution by remaining absent from successive cabinet meetings without proper reasons. The chief secretary has asked for scrutiny of the demand.

Gadad said that out of nine cabinet meetings held so far after the government was formed, Jarkiholi remained absent in six without citing any reasons.

The letter seeking to oust the minister from the cabinet has been forwarded by the chief secretary to the department of personnel and administrative reforms for suitable steps.
