Kundapur, Oct 16: Vivek Mogaveera (23) resident of Markodu Bobbarimakki near Koteshwar here hanged himself on the evening of Monday October 15. The death note left behind by him has not only puzzled his family members but also given rise to concern in the minds of the villagers.

Vivek happened to be the son of Rudrayya Mogaveera, a fisherman from Markodu village, and Kaveri, a housewife who also rolls beedies. His younger brother finished degree education this year.

Vivek was working for the agricultural section of Reliance Foundation. He told his mother on Monday evening that he would like to have some rest as he had to urgently leave for Bengaluru the same night. He did not come out of the room for long and did not respond when his mother repeatedly called out for him. Thereafter the family members broke open the door of the room and found that he had hanged himself by using a sari. He also had left a suicide note.

In his suicide note, Vivek said a terrorist organization was responsible for his decision to kill himself. "I have threat to lives of myself and my family members from this organization. I accidentally came in contact with this organization two years back after which I put together all the information about it. The members of the organization came to know this, and began to threaten me with death. Initially I had decided to desert my hometown to escape from their clutches, but later thought it is better to end my life. I request you not to burn by body, but to donate my organs. I want action to be taken against the organization which has been turning lives of people like me hellish," he requested.

A case of unnatural death was registered in the town police station here. The police officials said they would verify the genuineness of the information given in the note.

Vivek was very well behaved and had loveable personality. He was not active in any pro-Hindu organizations. He was employed in a company and was pillar of strength for his family. His family is poor and was hoping to see better days with Vivek's support.

A local Hindu leader, Shankar Ankadakatte, has demanded for detailed investigation into the allegations contained in the suicide note.
