Udupi, Nov 6: S Jayakumar, marketing manager, British Council, South India, will conduct an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) workshop at Rotary Club Golden Jubilee Children Sports Complex, near Sonia Clinic, Manipal, at 6.00 pm on Friday November 7.
The workshop will be held a part of the inaugural ceremony of ‘Shefins Global Study Solutions’, a sister concern of Manoj Kadaba Associates. Various projects of Shefins will be unveiled on the occasion, said Manoj Kadaba, director, Shefins Global Study Solutions, in a press conference held on Thursday November 6.
Speaking to media persons, Kadaba said that the British Council had been conducting (IELTS) courses for students aspiring to study in Australia, New Zealand, and other European nations, as getting good marks in IELTS and Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), is a pre-requisite for admission. He said that there are very few institutes in the state that prepare students for these examinations.
Shefins Global Study Solutions has been floated to provide fluency in English to those seeking jobs in multinational companies in India or overseas, as well as for students wishing to study abroad and to help individuals improve their self-confidence and develop personality to secure better employment opportunities, added Kadaba.
The company is located in Trivikram International Complex, opposite MGM College, Kunjibettu, on the Udupi-Manipal road. Shefins will offer training programmes for IELTS, TOEFL, Graduate Record Examinations (GRE), Business English Certificate (BEC), Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGGNS) and their own devised English Outlook courses.
Shefin has announced a fee discount of Rs 1,000 as an introductory offer. Saji Jose administration officer of the institute, and principal Margaret Philips, were also present at the press conference.
