Udupi, Sep 19: Desi style seafood restaurant ‘Fish Factory’, an initiative of Kemmale Group, was inaugurated by Rev Akshay Ammanna, Christa Jyothi Church, Korangrapady. He blessed the restaurant premises, located behind Alankar Theatre in Udupi on Wednesday, September 19.

Satish Kundar, President Malpe Fishermen's Association inaugurated the formal ceremony by lighting the lamp.

Addressing the gathering Rev Akshay Ammanna said, “Humans always want to indulge in two kinds of greediness. One is of the mind and second is of the stomach. When he gets fruits for his hard work, he will be satisfied. If anyone gets food while he is hungry, he will be happy. Definitely, one will reap fruits for his hard work.”

Appreciating the interiors of the restaurant he said, “It is very attractive and gives us a feel of the Tulunadu culture. Here food is being served in earthen vessels, bamboo and copper tumblers. We are moving back to ancient days. Definitely, customers will get amazing experience in here.”

“Everyone loves sea food. People are always looking forward to try different, tasty, variety and quality food. Opening a hotel is not a challenge but maintaining it is the biggest challenge,” said Satish Kundar.

One of the partners of Kemmale Group, Don Sherlo Karkada said, “Fish Factory is unique when compared to other restaurants as food here is served on ancient vessels made of clay, copper and bamboo. It will give homely and amazing experience to customers. We have started using eco-friendly materials in kitchen. We intended to provide healthy and nutritious food to people. Fish factory is opened based on the demand of our own customers. Their words inspired us to open a sea food restaurant. We will keep experimenting on providing healthy food to the customers. This would be our first restaurant. Customers will get friendly and quality service here. There is facility of home delivery and catering facility.”

Anitha B R, deputy director of Tourism department, Udupi, Hafeez Rehman, head in-charge of Malabar Gold showroom, Sanjeev Poojary, Ramesh Manjayya of S R Group Mumbai and the partners of Kemmale Group Manjunath, Raghavendra, Hemanth and Dinesh were present.
