Karkala: Recovery of body at Hebri - murder suspected

Karkala, Sep 7: Relating to the recovery of a decomposed body inside the thicket near the government primary school at Mundadijeddu near Hebri recently, suspicion has now arisen that it might be a case of murder.

The police are looking into the possibility of the murder having been committed by a man from Chara here, who currently lives at Bengaluru. They have undertaken investigation in that direction.

It has been found that the body found here relates to a missing complaint filed at Channapatna town police station on August 20. The complainants and Channapatna police, observed the report about recovery of unidentified body near Hebri. They arrived here, got the body exhumed and confirmed that it belongs to Nagaraj (42), a car driver, who had gone missing since the last nearly two weeks.

Police sources said that the mortal remains would be handed over to family members of the deceased after conducting inquest in the presence of the tahsildar.
