Mangaluru: YCS unit of Mother of God Church, Shakthinagar celebrates Teachers’ Day

Mangaluru, Sep 4: Young Catholic Students (YCS) of Shakthinagar parish arranged Teachers’ Day programme at Mother of God Church, Shakthinagar on September 2. The programme was organized for all the teachers in parish.

Parish priest Fr Gerald D’Souza was the president for the programme. Fr Paul Crasta, assistant parish priest and HM, Kelarai School, Fr Donald Nilesh Crasta, assistant parish priest and assistant director, Codialbail Press, and William Colaco, secretary of parish council and teacher, were present. Juliet B Pinto, eldest teacher in the parish, was the chief guest.



The programme was initiated by a prayer song. Shelton Cutinha, president, YCS, welcomed the gathering. Riya Rodrigues spoke on importance of ‘Teachers’ Day’. A wishing song was sung by the members of YCS. Few games and jokes were conducted. Teachers were felicitated by greeting card and flowers. William Colaco spoke on behalf of teachers. Prajwal Saldhana, secretary, YCS delivered the words of gratitude. Greshal Rodrigues compered the programme.
