Mangaluru, Sep 2: A fight ensued between the conductors of private and KSRTC buses at Bejai in the city on August 31 and a case is registered against both the parties in the Urwa police station.
Rajesh Sabu, driver of KSRTC bus has accused in his complaint that the driver of the private bus obstructed his way by blocking his path and also used abusive language and assaulted him. In addition, he has also said that he snatched the ticket vending machine and obstructed in carrying out duty.
In the counter-complaint filed by Prashant, conductor of the private bus, he has accused the KSRTC bus staff of not allowing them to overtake and also said that they used abusive language and assaulted them when he enquired about the behaviour with the KSRTC bus driver and conductor.
Traffic was stalled for more than half an hour due to the fight between the staff of both the buses. The attempt to pacify the personnel by the public also failed. It is learnt that this incident has occurred due to the competition of picking up passengers at Bejai bus stop.
Urwa police who have registered complaints of both the parties are investigating further.
