Mangalore, Oct 20: A jeep rally by the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) as part of its nationwide ‘Janahita Chetana’ movement against the union government’s anti-people policy, will enter the district on Monday October 20, on a two-day visit.
Addressing the media here on Saturday October 18, Girish Rai, district president of BSP, said cadres’ meet and public meetings are to be held at various centres in the district on these two days. The rally which began on Friday October 10 from five corners of the state will conclude at Chitradurga with a state-level public meeting on Sunday October 26.
Rai said that India has been suffering from problems related to food, poverty, illiteracy, price rise, unemployment, and others for the last six decades. The Congress and BJP have lost the trust of thhe citizens by pushing India into the depths of despair. Now BSP is the only the ray of hope for the downtrodden of this country.
Ibrahim Pejavar, district vice-president, M Kusappa, district general secretary, and Abdul Hameed, district treasurer, were present at the press meet.
