Bengaluru: Man murdered in drunken stupor by friends

Bengaluru, Aug 23: A fight which arose between friends on a silly issue while all of them were under the influence of alcohol, culminated with the murder of one among them.

The victim of this incident was Rakesh. At around 12 am on Wednesday, his friends, Ranjith and Mani, stabbed Rakesh with a knife and made good their escape.

The accused are residents of Tensen Mohala within Cottonpet police station limits. They worked as coolies. On Tuesday night as they returned home after consuming liquor, a fight broke out on a frivolous matter. As the fight escalated, the accused stabbed Rakesh with a knife and fled from the scene. Rakesh, who collapsed to the ground, was taken to hospital by locals but passed away on the way to hospital, it is learnt.
