Mangaluru, Aug 14: Vishwakarma Yuva Milan is a group which intends to serve society. The group as part of its first anniversary decided to celebrate Independence Day in a meaningful way with the thought that all of us are Indians and that the celebrations may be an inspiration to such other organizations strengthening society.
Similarly they donated household items to HIV infected children of Ashakiran Residence, Surathkal. They arranged lunch for them and spent the whole day with the children, playing and entertaining them. Innocent minds of children swallow our problems. The time spent with children is pleasing to the Almighty.
Sometimes our lives spoil on account of us. We regret it and weep when our desires are not fulfilled, but eleven HIV infected children at Ashakiran Residence are suffering for no fault of theirs. Being unable to mix with others, they shoulder their pain at a young age, but they are not disappointed. They have immense confidence. Pushpa, director of the residence makes sure that the children do not face difficulties and pain and their normal development is not affected.
Pushpa says that if we mix with such children without fear, we will be able to provide a little love that is missing from their parents. The children have amazing talents. They dance in a way others may be put to shame.
Members of Vishwakarma Yuva Milan said that their heart melted listening to the sentimental songs by the children. “We were annoyed with the Almighty. Ashakiran took charge of the residence after obtaining permission from the government. Pushpa is experienced in social work. She is humane and has become a shelter for the children. Her mind is selfless.
The children feel that people are with them and inspire them to be confident. “Children played with us with enthusiasm. We held games for them. We normally go for unnecessary expenditure, but if we join hands with organizations such as Ashakiran, we will get peace and satisfaction.”
Ashakiran needs donations. Let us join hands with them. Happy 72nd Independence Day to all. Jai Hind. Vande Mataram.
