Mangaluru: Illegal construction in Wakf property - AC orders demolition

Mangaluru, Aug 9: The assistant commissioner (AC) here has served notice, ordering clearance of a five-storied building coming up without authorization in a Wakf property. The place where this construction is under way is under the control of Katchi Mammem mosque at Golikatta Bazar here.

The notices were served on Vinita Aravindaksha, Jagadish Mijar, Kripalini Mijar, Ravishankar Mijar and Purushotham Shetty on July 24. The AC ordered through the said notices to arrange to remove the building within seven days from the receipt of the notice failing which they were warned of taking suitable legal action.

The illegal construction in Wakf property reportedly belongs to a BJP leader.
