Mangaluru, Aug 6: KHB Layout owner's association will celebrate Independence Day on their layout ground.

Well known advocate and Dharmashastra Mandira Jyotinagara managing trustee Ramprasad will hoist the flag at 7.30 am. A voluntary blood donation camp and free health camp will be held with the cooperation of regional blood transfusion centre, district Wenlock Hospital and Janardhan Babu Constructions.

Karnataka Rakshana Vedike Bengaluru treasurer M T Narayana will chair the programme. Wenlock Hospital district surgeon and superintendent Dr Rajeshwari Devi will inaugurate the programme. Regional blood transfusion centre Wenlock Hospital medical officer Dr Sharath Kumar and Fourwinds organization director E Fernandes will be the guests of honour.

The hall programme will be held from 7.30 pm. Sports competitions will be held for children, men and women staying in the layout and vicinity of layout ground on August 12 from 10.30 am. The winners will be presented prizes at the programme on August 15.

Students of the vicinity who secured more than 80% marks in SSLC and PUC will be felicitated on the occasion, stated a press release.
