Mangaluru: ICYM Vamadapadavu unit organises ‘Yuva Samvesh 2K18’

Mangaluru, Aug 5: ICYM Vamadapadavu unit organised ‘Yuva Samvesh 2K18’, a youth gathering programme for all the Catholic youth of Vamadapadavu on July 29 at Vamadapadavu church hall.

The programme commenced with a prayer song. Lenita Nishal D’Costa, unit secretary welcomed the gathering. Fr. Stany Fernandes, director, Vamadapadavu unit inaugurated the programme along with Fr Richard D’Souza, director, Shanti Kiran Bajjodi. The chief guest of the programme was Br Thomas Cutinho. Valarian D’Souza, vice president and Richard D’Souza, secretary, Catholic Sabha Vamapadavu unit, and Lazarus Menezes, ICYM animator were the guests on the dais.

Fr Stany Fernandes addressed the youth and said, “As this year we celebrate the silver jubilee year, youth need to help in building the Catholic youth community. Fr Richard D’Souza took over the session on the topic – ‘Adhunik Samajenth Yuvajanaso Pathru’. Aneesh Lobo, Kadaba, joint secretary, ICYM Mangaluru diocese and Ivy Melisha D’Souza, Derebail, lady vice president, ICYM Mangaluru diocese 2017-18 conducted games for the youth.

More than 40 youth participated in the programme. Francis Monteiro, president, ICYM Moodbidri deanery were also present for the programme. Praveen D’Costa, president, Vamadapadavu unit rendered the vote of thanks. Alvita Reshma D’Souza compered the programme.
