Mangaluru: New poster of Shakthi PU College released

Mangaluru, Aug 2: The administrative manager of Gopalakrishna temple K C Naik released the poster of Shakthi PU College.

Addressing media here on Wednesday August 1, advisor of Shakthi Education Trust V K Thaalithaya said, “The foundation stone for Shakthi Residential School and PU College was laid in the year 2015 under Shakthi Education Trust. The administrative board of the institution is trying its best to make the school and college a better education institution. At present, there are 100 students in the institution, 50 each in Shakthi Residential School and Shakthi PU College.

“We have come up with an objective of providing quality education to build confidence among students. Shakthi Residential School functions with CBSE syllabus from first standard. The classrooms are very spacious with AC, projector screen, and library.



“The institution is conceived with international standards providing quality education. We prepare students for CBSE examination. The first year PUC (Pre University College) has Science and Commerce stream along with integrated coaching like NEET, CET, JEE, preparing students for various competitive examinations,” he said.

Shakthi Residential School is a co-ed institution offering CBSE curriculum along with an array of curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. The school is also well known for offering inclusive education. All classrooms are equipped with smart boards, CC cameras, public address system facility and student lockers. The school has a well-stocked library including digital resources. A wide range of books aims to help children rediscover the joy of reading. A very extensive references section helps students work on multi-dimensional projects. The library has a great collection of fiction, non-fiction and reference books. In addition, extra-curricular activities like dramatics, music, dance, art, various clubs etc have also been incorporated in the curriculum to promote and encourage the inherent talents in the students.

Infrastructure

Shakthi Residential School, Mangaluru, sprawling over a 4-acre campus in a picturesque locale, presents a scenic and serene ambience. The state-of-the-art campus houses the Academic Block with science laboratories, art & crafts centre, computer laboratory, administration block, sports field for cricket, football, basketball, skating rink and a swimming pool. Hostel

Hostel facility is well equipped with all standard requirements. Separate mini mart is also offered to cater the personal needs of the hostel students. Study timings, extra coaching is also planned for the overall development of the students.
