Bantwal, Jul 7: On the occasion of the first death anniversary of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activist, Sharath Madivala, at B C Road here on July 7 last year, an attractive memorial built jointly by Sajipamuunur Sharath fans and RSS workers will be inaugurated on Saturday July 7. The memorial, built at a cost of about two lac rupees by local youngsters who also voluntarily worked for it, will be inaugurated by RSS leader, Dr Prabhakar Bhat Kalladka.
The memorial will be dedicated to the world at 9 am. In this background, additional police have been deployed as a precautionary measure in communally sensitive areas since the last couple of days.
The memorial has come up at the spot where Sharath's body was cremated. A compound wall around this memorial has been built of granites. The memorial has a lucrative roof. Pictures of Bharat Mata and Sharat Madivala in Yoga posture are being installed.
Sharath Madivala, who himself was a yoga practitioner, used to rise early everyday and was imparting Yoga training to over 150 youngsters and children in the premises of Nandavara temple. He used to return home thereafter, milk the cows, and supply milk to the dairy.
On this occasion, father of the late Sharath, Taniappa Madivala, said that under pressure from the friends of Sharath he had given his nod for the construction of his son's memorial at the spot where his funeral was performed. He expressed regret at the inability of police department to find out real reasons and elements behind the murder of his young son even after a year since his demise.
