Udupi: Students of St Mary’s College hold protest demanding justice in MP rape case

Udupi, Jul 7: Students of St Mary’s College on Friday, July 6 took out a peaceful protest march urging officials to provide justice for a 7-year-old girl who was raped and abused in Madhya Pradesh recently.

Around 500 students peacefully marched from college till Shirva gram panchayat. Hanumantha, Philip, Evan D'Souza and Rakshitha of 3rd year spoke on the importance of respecting women, children and providing justice for the rape victim. Shirva panchayat PDO Malathi also addressed the gathering. Student representatives handed over the request letter to the PDO which contained the request to investigate the case. Shirva police rendered their full support for the procession.



Student representatives Ashley D’Souza, Stolin Nazareth, Branson Monis, Doyson D’Souza and Prajwal took the initiative of the procession.
