Mangaluru, Jul 5: Continuing to be a success, Tulu film ‘Appe Teacher’ which has entertained many a viewers completed 100 days on June 30.
The film ran for 60 days at Jyothi theatre in Mangaluru, 70 days at Kalpana theatre in Udupi, 12 weeks at Amarshree in Moodbidri, and two weeks each in Kasargod and Bengaluru. The film is still running at multiplexes in Mangaluru.
Despite having a small market, the film managed to attract a large number of viewers. More number of new viewers were witnessed for the movie.
Released on March 23 in coastal Karnataka, ‘Appe Teacher’ earned Rs two cr in its 50-day run and is continuing to do good business. Coastalwood which was on a dull note from the past one year, suddenly sprang to life with this blockbuster.
Sunil and Niriksha Shetty play the lead in the movie, while Usha Bhandary, Devdas Kaapikad, Naveen D Padil, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Aravind Bolar, Sathish Bandale, Sandeep Shetty, and Shailashree are playing prominent roles in the movie. The film has been produced under the banner of Swayam Prabha movies and entertainment.
Sandalwood movie fame Ravi Basrur composed the background music of ‘Appe Teacher’. The dubbing process of the film was done at Daijiworld Audio Visual Pvt Ltd.
