Udupi, Jul 5: Daijiworld media’s Udupi bureau observed Vanamahotsava at Saalmarada Thimmakka Tree Park, Badagubettu on Wednesday, July 4 by planting different types of saplings.

The guest of the event, Prakash Malpe, president of Samvedhana Foundation, inaugurated the programme by planting saplings.

Referring the quote written by writer Nagesh, Prakash said, “Lands are to be protected and cultivated for future generation. We have no rights to spoil that asset. Let us all promote environment protection.”


Park in-charge and forest officer Dayanand said, “It is a good initiative taken by Daijiworld media. It is a matter of happiness that a media group has organised such programme with commitment towards protection of nature. Media plays an important role in saving nature. Let this programme inspire everyone around us.”

Kevin Rodrigues, manager of Daijiworld media, Udupi and others were present.
