Mangaluru, Jul 4: In an incident which happened in Shantiraj Colony in Puchchamogaru here on Monday July 2 afternoon, a woman ended her life. She had given birth to her first child three months back, it is gathered.

The victim has been identified as Divya (24), wife of Ujire Kuvethar Ranjith. She had delivered a female baby three months back, and was staying with her mother in Shantiraj Colony. It is learnt that Divya was overtaken by a sense of worthlessness at the shortage of enough breastmilk to feed her baby. Reportedly she often used to express her sense of frustration at this condition.

Divya's mother had gone to Siddakatte on Monday afternoon to bring household items when Divya, who was alone at home, used the veil of her Churidar to hang herself.  The incident came to light after her mother returned from Siddakatte.

A case of unnatural death was registered in the town police station here about this incident.
