Mangaluru, Jul 4: Renowned sitarist Ustaad Rafiq Khan was felicitated on his 50th birthday by his students. The programme was held at the CBEU hall at Kodialbail, Mangaluru.
As part of the celebration a classical vocal music concert by well-known musician Pt Jayathirtha Mevundi was organized. Thereafter the disciples of Ustaad Rafique Khan presented a fusion music concert.
Famous personalities like Eric Rosario, Gurkar of Mand Sobann, Dr Mohan Pai, popular surgeon of Mangaluru, Vasanthi R Nayak, senior artiste, Malathi Bhat of Akashawani and Prof Narendra L Nayak, of Expert group of Institutions spoke on the occasion and complimented Ustaad Rafiq Khan.
The programme, which was organized by Prof Narendra L Nayak and Usha Prabha Nayak witnessed a large gathering of well wishers. Dhruthi Hegde, lecturer in chemistry, Expert PU college, Valachil, compered the programme.
