Kasargod: Elderly man dies after car rams into KSRTC bus

Kasargod, Jul 3: An elderly man died after a car in which he was travelling rammed into a KSRTC bus near Uduma Pallam on Monday, July 2.

The deceased has been identified as N K Abdul Hameed Haji (72).

The incident occurred when Hameed was on his way to pick his daughter up who arrived at Mangaluru airport from Dubai. When he reached Uduma Pallam telephone exchange, the car in which he was travelling hit a KSRTC bus in the rear. Though immediately Hameed was shifted to Kasargod hospital by the locals, he could not survive.



Car driver Zulfikar from Valiyaparamba suffered injuries in the accident.

Hameed was a Muslim League regional leader.

The body has been kept at Kasargod general hospital mortuary and will be handed over to the family after the post-mortem.

Bekal police have registered a case in this regard.
