Mangaluru, Jun 11: Sanjana Shetty, a Mangalurean, is all set to make Telugu movie debut with '5000 miles' directed by Revon Yadhu and produced by Milestone Pictures.
Sanjana Shetty will play the lead role opposite Abhiram.
Sanjana Shetty, daughter of Sathish Shetty and Pushpa Shetty, was born and brought up in Ujire. She completed her BCom at SDM College, Ujire and went on to do diploma in interior designing from Vogue Institute.
Speaking to daijiworld.com Sanjana Shetty said, "The new language is a challenge for me. It is a wonderful feeling to be launched in Tollywood. I have been waiting for the right team and scripts for a while and this came my way, where I felt I can portray the character. I felt the character was strong enough and I could not say no to it.”
Speaking about the movie Sanjana Shetty said, "’5000 miles’ is a suspense story along with a touch of romance. You can see me in different shades than what I am in actual life. I have learnt and learning a lot in this new environment. The team has been very supportive. I am only hoping that our hard work gets us good outcome.
“I have been training myself by watching Telugu movies, to understand the language and pronunciation from a few months. There is romance and dance with Abhiram,” she said.
Sanjana started off her modeling career on a positive note after she made in to the top 16 of Femina Style Diva South. Sanjana was seen in Tamil television advertisements, such as Tangamayii Jewellery, Sri Murugan app, Velvan Jewellers, and SPP Silks and Textiles. She also shot for designer clothes and online brands.
Prior to making her debut in Telugu, Sanjana Shetty shared screen along with Golden Star Ganesh in Kannada film 'Chamak'. Sanjana will also be seen in upcoming Kannada flick 'Cafe Garage' directed by Pawan Ranadheer.
