Dubai, Sep 14: Celebrated Konkani writer Fr Chetan met members of Daiji Dubai, the forum of Konkani writers based in Dubai on Friday September 12. Fr Chetan was en route India from a trip to Italy and made a stop in the city.
The meeting was held at Golden Talents Music School. Dayan D'Souza, former convenor of Daiji Dubai, welcomed the writer and presented a brief introduction of forum members, objectives, and forum activities of the past and present. Stan Ageira introduced the guest to the gathering.
Hemacharya, convenor, Daiji Dubai, handed over a memento to the guest. Fr Chetan in his address, explained his leaning towards Konkani literature, the present scenario, and the steps necessary for growth. Gathered members exchanged their views and Fr Chetan threw light upon various aspects of literature and the role of media in society. Fr Chetan is known entertaining short stories and his clued-up articles.
