Mangaluru, May 13: A case stands registered against a person in Urwa police station for possessing two voter identity cards in his name with the intention of voting twice in the same name illegally.
It is alleged that the person has used duplicate records to get the second voter identity card.
Manoj Bangera is the person who is accused of having involved in this crime.
Manoj has got voters identity cards on serial number 1144, part 75 in Mangaluru city south and serial number 943, part 71 in Mangaluru city north.
Complainant Sunil Konchady has accused Manoj Bangera of using duplicated records to get the second voter identity card in his name, with the sole intention of casting his vote at two places.
However, whether the accused has actually voted at both the places is yet to be confirmed.
