Mangaluru, Apr 21: Hours after the BJP released its third list, ticket aspirant from Mangaluru North constituency former minister J Krishna Palemar has openly blamed BJP MP Nalin Kumar Kateel being a sole reason for the latter to miss the ticket.
On Friday, April 21 the BJP released its third list of candidates for the crucial Karnataka assembly elections and for Mangaluru North, the BJP has decided to bank on Dr Bharath Shetty as the candidate against Congress' sitting MLA Moideen Bava.
From the coveted constituency of Mangaluru South, BJP has fielded Vedavyas Kamath against Congress MLA J R Lobo. Santosh Kumar Rai has been fielded from Mangaluru (Ullal) constituency, against Congress' minister and MLA U T Khader.
A disgruntled Palemar expressed his displeasure over giving ticket to Bharath Shetty and went ballistic, holding MP Nalin Kumar Kateel directly responsible for denying him a ticket.
Speaking to the media persons, Palemar said, "The state BJP president Yeddyurappa had promised me a ticket and asked me get prepared to submit nomination. But at the last moment due to dirty politics played by some of the insiders I have missed the ticket.”
