Moodbidri, Apr 20: "Politics in itself is a labyrinth of intricate confusions. I have worked hard for my party. I was distraught when my self esteem was hurt. I have now realized that all the aspirants cannot get party tickets. My calculations have been proved to be wrong. I have realized that rather than individuals or candidates, party reigns supreme in politics. Therefore, my previous stand has rightly received a setback," said BJP district vice president, K P Jagadish Adhikari, who was livid a couple of days back after learning that he was denied a ticket by the party from here.
Adhikari, who had locked up the BJP office here out of anger two days back, opened its door on Friday April 20 and held press conference there along with some other party leaders.
"BJP is not an indisciplined party. It is a party where respect is given and discipline is followed. In spite of reverses and setbacks, the party has been moving towards progress. I have high regard for senior leaders of the party, and there is no question of leaving this party. As long as possible, I will work for the party and ensure that those who reposed faith on me are not left in the lurch. With the mediation of my friend and MP, Nalin Kumar Kateel, who had admitted me into the party a decade back, I have merged again with the party and its followers," he stated.
Adhikari said that his only goal now will be to ensure success for BJP in the coming election, on the issue of misbehaviour of Abhayachandra, and lack of development initiatives. He pledged to work for the success of the party in the election shoulder to shoulder with other leaders of the party by highlighting the success of Modi's administration and bringing to the fore failure of the Congress government in the state.
BJP Mandal president, Eshwar Kateel, party's candidate for local constituency, Umanath Kotian, zilla panchayat vice president, Kasturi Panja, district general secretary, Sudarshan M, and Sukesh Shetty Shirtady were present at the press conference.
