Udupi, Apr 20: Congress candidate from Kundapur Rakesh Malli on Thursday April 20 sought blessings of bishop of Udupi diocese Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo and Kashi Matadeesh Sri Samyamindrateertha Swamiji ahead of the upcoming Karnataka elections. Malli is submitting his nomination papers at Kundapur on Saturday April 21.
Rakesh Malli met bishop Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo at the Bishop’s House here and sought his blessings. The bishop during Malli's visit said that he would pray to God for a good government in Karnataka.
Malli then visited the Chempi Laxmi Venkataramana Temple and sought the belssings of Kashi Matadeesh Sri Samyamindrateertha Swamiji. Malli was blessed by the seer with prasadam.
Rajeev Gandhi Panchayat Raj Sangatane district co-ordinator Roshni Oliver and AICC member Amrith Shenoy accompanied Malli.
Rakesh Malli, who is also the president of INTUC, will be making his electoral debut in the Karnataka assembly elections, polling for which will be held on May 12 and the counting on May 15.
