Bengaluru: Irony - BJP ad on corruption appears with news on list of 'controversial names'!

Bengaluru, Apr 18: Ever since the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in February, the opposition BJP in the state has been targeting the ruling Congress over corruption, taking a cue from the PM's coinage of '10 percent government' when referring to the state government. On Tuesday April 17, in a bid to promote its promise of making Karnataka a 'corruption-free state', it ended up in an awkward situation.

BJP's advertisement appeared on the front page of 'The Hindu', promising a corruption-free state, with with the caption 'for a corruption free state' with photos of chief ministerial candidate B S Yeddyurappa, Prime Minister Modi and BJP president Amit Shah.

Ironically, just below the advertisement, there was an important news that highlighted BJP's own inefficiency when it comes to dealing with corruption.

The news pertained to the release of BJP's second list of candidates on Monday which included some politically controversial names such as former ministers Katta Subramanya Naidu, S N Krishnaiah Shetty, H Halappa, Somashekara Reddy and M P Renukacharya. The news was titled 'BJP second list has a few controversial names'.

While Katta Subramanya Naidu and Halappa have been acquitted by the court, corruption charge against Shetty is still pending. Renukacharya had landed in controversy after intimate photos of him with a woman were made public. G Somashekar Reddy, a tainted BJP leader and brother of Gali Janardhana Reddy involved in mining scam of 2011 has also been given ticket.

The advertisement has gone viral on social media with netizens criticizing the BJP for its double-speak on corruption.


The Congress lost no time in attacking the BJP. Srivatsa, a key person in the social media team of Congress in Karnataka shared the advertisement published on 'The Hindu' and tweeted, "BJP Ad - For a corruption free state, elect Yeddyurappa. Next what, for Women's safety, make Kuldeep Singh Sengar the CM?"

Karnataka Congress too criticized the BJP for scoring self-goal. "An 'Honest Yeddyurappa' is an oxymoron. He led the most corrupt, unstable and incompetent government, Karnataka has ever seen. With a JailBird like him again at the helm of affairs, BJP has the audacity to promise corruption free governance! BJP420," read the Congress tweet.

    BJP, RSS, VHP, and all its gang members made Guinness world book record. No one can break their record except by their own members.

    We Kannadigas accept the honesty of BJP accepting corruption in the front page ad of the newspaper.
    As far as corruption it is not new to Bharatiya Janata Party.When it come to justice Karnataka they scrape iron ore to sell to Chinese and helping build empire of Bellary Republic for Reddy brother who offered Rs 50 crores judge 'bail for cash' scam. The judge who received money in the verdict died in his Hyderabad residence in mysterious circumstances.
    When in comes to patriotism 'nationalist party' who want everyone to chant 'Bharat Mata ki jai' not even left the martyr of Kargil war soldiers. During former PM Vajpayee era they imported 'Coffins' from USA for the dead comrades.
    The BJP which came to power exploiting '2 G spectrum' scam, has forgotten today that his own party functionary late Dilip Singh Judeo caught accepting bundles in ' Cash on Camera' scam and saying "Paisa Khuda Toh Nahi Par Khuda Ki Kasam Khuda Se Kam Nahi"(Money isn't God but, swear on God, it's no less than God).
    When it comes 'espionage' its own IT cell member in Madhya Pradesh caught with 11 other members
    passing Indian defence movement.
    The latest in the party is 'Rafale Jet' scam which PM Modi himself is involved purchase twice the broken deal of UPA II for less number of aircraft without the technology transfer.

    In 2014 Lok Sabha elections party came to power on 'corruption free India' slogan now itself involved in corruption which normal Indian can't even count numberics.
    For this the reason time to time BJP stokes 'communal tensions' to defelect the attention of voters from real issues which affecting the nation.
    Taj Mahal controversy which coincides with Amit Shah son Yash Shah 16,000 times profit which is nothing but money laundering is one classic example.

    Now offering the tickets to the most corrupt party members who spent time in jail proves that, BJP is only power hunger and no interest in nation building.

    This is one of the most Fakest election promise by BJP about corruption free govt. When Yeddy a former Karnataka CM was sent to jail on corruption charges is projected as next would be CM. His masters Modi, Shah and Yogi who are also jail returnees on scam, law and order and criminal charges are promising corruption free BJP govt in Karnataka????. Further to add salt to the wound all BJP candidates who are contesting election are champions in corruption, crime mongers and communal specialists.
    Its Once Bitten Twice (Forever) Shy for Katnataka voters. Its going from bad to worse to worst situation in all BJP ruled states. No Faking In This.
